We investigate the genetic relationship between olivine-normative
basalts (ONB) and quartznormative basalts (QNB) found on the Moon. We
experimentally test the hypothesis that QNB are derived from a primitive
ONB through extensive polybaric and polythermal fractional
crystallization.
