Orbital Evolution: Numerical Methods
Scientific paper
The motion of small bodies in the solar system corresponds to a
Hamiltonian system, and the symplectic algorithm is used suitably for
the numerical study of the orbital evolution. This problem is discussed
in some detail and several corresponding explicit symplectic difference
schemes have been constructed.
