MMTPol will be a high precision imaging polarimeter working from 1-4 microns for use on the MMT in conjunction with the Adapitve Optics Secondary. This polarimeter should surpass all other instruments in its combined spatial resolution and polarimetric precision and hence determine with unprecedented accuracy the spatial polarization of protoplanetary disks, AGN, comets and red giant winds. The use of the secondary mirror for correction of the incident wavefront eliminates the numerous off-axis reflections currently associated with AO systems.
