The existence of a north-west asymmetry of cosmic rays in the solar magnetosphere is demonstrated, and possible reasons for the occurrence of this asymmetry are examined. A reconnection of high-latitude force lines of the solar-magnetospheric and galactic magnetic fields is found to be possible. The magnetic field becomes weaker where the signs of the galactic and solar fields are opposite, and it becomes more intense where the signs are the same. In this manner, there arise forbidden and allowed zones for the penetration of cosmic rays into the solar system.
