The Stephen F. Austin Very Small Array (SFAVSA), small radio telescope interferometer, was constructed on the site of the Stephen F. Austin State University Observatory. The interferometer consisted of two 3-meter dishes separated by 10 meters. The SFAVSA's receiver was tuned to 1420 MHz which corresponds to the spin-flip transition in the hydrogen ground state. Observations of the Sun's blackbody radiation were made in order to study the properties of the interferometer. Fringe patterns were seen that corresponded to the theoretical predictions. Also, ambient temperature of the SFAVSA's low noise amplifiers was seen to affect the data. Efforts were made to record and eliminate this problem.
