A representative set of possible lunar electrical conductivity profiles consistent with transfer function data in the frequency range 10-5 to 10-3Hz is generated. Corresponding temperature profiles are calculated for a series of compositional models consisting of olivine-pyroxene mixtures and the adequacy of existing laboratory σ versus T data is considered. The purposes are to examine the sensitivity of the inferred temperatures to compositional assumptions and to discuss further the implications for thermal history models.
