U4 gravitational theory is used to obtain internal and external solutions for the gravitational field of a neutron star consisting of an ideal fluid with axial spin-polarization. It is found that spin-spin interaction as described by U4 theory does not cause the appearance of a quadrupole moment which could be the source of appreciable gravitational radiation and thus of energy loss, manifested in the slow-down of stellar rotation.
