Stepwise etching of lunar ilmenite reveals that deeply implanted (SEP) N
is light-isotope enriched relative to solar wind, in contrast to SEP-Ne
which is heavy-isotope enriched. Implications for the "nonsolar-N"
controversy are critically discussed.
