Observations of the ion transport in the topside atmosphere are presented. Measurements during two days showed upward daytime fluxes of O(+) and H(+) ions; during the night the net flux was downward. The total upward flux and the total downward nighttime integrated flux for the two days were determined, concluding that if these two days are typical, they imply some interhemispheric transport from summer to winter.
