The acceleration of fast particles by a combination of shock fronts and large-scale plasma motions with frozen-in magnetic field is examined. An equation describing fast-particle acceleration is obtained, and the effective time of particle acceleration by supersonic turbulence is determined. The study is applied to the examination of acceleration in the shell of Cassiopeia A.
