Using the ISO LWS Fabry-Perot, we have observed the [OI] 63 μm line toward nine Galactic HII regions which are bright in the far-infrared continuum and which have foreground cold clouds. In this way, we have detected OI absorption toward Sgr B2, W31C, W49. These absorption lines show good correlation with the absorption lines of HI toward Sgr B2 and with absorption lines of molecular tracers such as CS and HCO+.
