We have reported new upper limits on the masses of dust in globular
clusters. Our limits support previous conclusions that GCs are seriously
lacking in intra-cluster dust grains. We must therefore assume that the
formation of dust is inhibited or that some mechanism is at work to
remove any dust from the cluster on a short timescale.
