We construct a number of string bit Hamiltonian models which describe the dynamics of two-dimensional open or closed quantum space-time without matter. They turn out to be special cases of a Lie algebraic Hamiltonian model. The transition amplitudes of these models in the continuum limit agree with known results from Lorentzian gravity and Liouville gravity in the proper time gauge.
