IMMUNE sera have been prepared in rabbits against isolated tissues of stages of embryonic Triton alpestris. The tissues used were: whole gastrula (crescent-shaped blastopore), archenteron roof, and ectoderm (both from early yolk-plug stages). The antisera were used both for interfacial precipitin tests and, diluted, as stock culture media of the same osmotic pressure as Holtfreter's solution; these media contained 1 : 5 to 1 : 20 parts of serum.
