From 2100 UT on May 23 to 1800 UT on May 25 the solar wind number density remained below 1 proton/cm3 and reached minimum values of approximately 0.1 /cm3. This low density period followed an interplanetary shock near 1050 UT on May 23. Those densities are among the lowest ever observed. This report will describe field and plasma observations from the Wind and ACE spacecraft.
