Principles of a method for practical development of a theory of motion for resonance asteroids based on quasi-periodic solutions of the three-dimensional restricted three-body problem are explained. The structure of the perturbing function is analyzed, steady-state resonance solutions are examined, and quasi-periodic solutions are obtained. It is shown that a quasi-periodic solution of the three-dimensional restricted three-body problem can be used as an intermediate solution for the practical construction of a theory for the motion of certain resonance asteroids.
