Of the clusters hosting the 30 brightest radio halos and relics, only A2345 has has not been observed by XMM-Newton or Chandra. The ROSAT HRI image of this cluster suggests significant substructure, almost certainly due to a recent merger in the plane of the sky. We will detect shock and cold fronts if they are present. The temperature, pressure, and entropy structure will be mapped, connected to surface brightness features, and combined with numerical simulations of binary cluster mergers to completely describe its dynamical state. Thermal and/or nonthermal emission at the location of the relics will be determined along with the magnetic field, or its lower limit if no nonthermal emission is detected. Spectroscopic temperatures will be measured out to R_500.
