Jennifer Wiseman and Stefi Baum will discuss their experiences working in the realm of science policy. Jennifer served for 18 months as an American Physical Society Congressional Science Fellow and Stefi Baum is now serving as an American Institute of Physics State Department Fellow. They will outline how astronomers can do better in their interactions with the government, provide some perspective on the role of science in decision making and provide some insight into the inner workings of our government.
