Taking an appropriate model of Venusian density temperature profile, wind velocity and wind shear the dispersion surfaces for internal gravity waves have been computed. The effect of neutral wind velocity and wind shear on the dispersion characteristics are shown. Using the dispersion equation, the minimum allowed zonal wavelengths of vertically and zonally propagating waves as functions of Doppler-shifted zonal phase velocity, have been computed. It is concluded that the excitation of internal gravity waves and their propagation play an important role in the dynamic behaviour of Venusian atmosphere.
