Scientific paper

Papers are presented on large scale cosmic ray electron gradients in the Galaxy, molecular astronomy, and the origin and dynamics of the Magellanic Stream. Attention is given to a synthesis telescope at the Molonglo Radio Observatory, a multi-mode Fabry-Perot instrument for observation of emission line sources, and cosmic ray induced photomultiplier noise. Also considered are the gravitational lens effect of a moving black hole, period changes of SV Centauri, and the hyperfine polarization structure of Jupiter's radio bursts. The radial velocity structure in OH and H2O maser interstellar masers, the H I absorption of NGC 5128 at centimeter wavelengths and line profiles of beta Cephei stars are also discussed. Individual items are announced in this issue.
