ONE of the items developed for microwave diagnostic purposes on Zeta is
a harmonic-mixing superheterodyne radiometer, working at a wave-length
of about 2 mm. This radiometer has been used together with a small
radiotelescope for measuring the apparent temperature of the Sun at a
wave-length of 2.04 mm.
