By processing instantaneous values of the complex degree of coherence fluctuated by turbulent atmosphere, the complex degree of coherence over a telescope aperture is measured. A photodiode array is used to analyze fringe patterns produced by a computer-controlled wave-front folding interferometer in a short time. The analysis is carried out in order to calculate the instantaneous values of the complex degree of coherence. The system is applied in one-dimensional simulation experiments.
