The VERITAS array of atmospheric-Cherenkov telescopes is one of the world's most-sensitive very-high-energy (VHE; E > 100 GeV) gamma-ray observatories. Studies of blazars comprise nearly 40% of the VERITAS observation budget, and more than half of this time is devoted to the discovery of VHE-photon-emitting blazars. VERITAS has detected 20 blazars, including 10 VHE discoveries. Every VERITAS discovery has initiated a multi-wavelength observing campaign, from radio through gamma-ray frequencies, to generate a contemporaneous spectral energy distribution for modeling of the underlying processes. Recent highlights of the VERITAS VHE blazar discovery program will be presented.
