The central engines of radio-loud AGNs and gamma-ray bursts share the same basic astrophysical ingredients, despite the vastly different black hole masses and mass accretion rates. We present evidence for a connection between some of the observed high-energy properties of jets in blazars and GRBs observed with different telescopes including Fermi, Swift and others. These results point towards an unification of the physics of relativistic jets across a vast range of black hole masses and accretion timescales.
