From CCD observations of LGS-3 with an R filter it is found that the R magnitude of the brightest resolved stars is R = 18.3 mag, and the total integrated R magnitude is 14.2 mag. With allowances for interstellar absorption and the assumption of an old stellar population, an absolute visual magnitude of -7.1 mag is determined. Other physical parameters are summarized in tabular form. If the galaxy is at the distance of M33 as suggested previously, it must contain a young stellar population.
