THE recent discovery by Cocke, Disney and Taylor1,2 of pulsed optical signals from the pulsar NP 0532, with subsequent confirmation3, has opened the way to extensive new studies of this object. In such work, an accurate knowledge of the radio frequency pulse period, previously published only in an IAU circular last November4, is useful. We report here up to date results of period measurements made at Arecibo.
