The photometry of G and K subdwarfs is analyzed in order to determine their metallicity using a system invented by the Lithuanian Academy of Sciences (the Vilnius method). The Vilnius method permits the recognition of F-G-K subdwarfs in conditions of interstellar reddening. For quantitative interpretation of line strengths, a group of synthetic spectrum calculations were used. A series of diagrams is provided which illustrates the photometric data.
