A numerical study of gravitational shocks in vacuum cosmological models is presented; the initial data set is evolved using a computer code to solve the Einstein equations. It is shown that shocks can leave tails behind them as they travel into regions of homogeneous cosmology. Although they collide with one another without disruption, the shocks can exhibit changes of shape in their Fourier spectra.
