The problem of optimal maneuvers using a minimum of fuel close to collinear libration points in the earth-moon system is analyzed. The study involves the nature of the extremum showing that the functional of fuel consumption is indeed minimal along the extremum. Rigorous solutions are determined for systems of differential equations, considering the case (Marinescu, 1979) of nonzero angular velocities in the direction of the barycenter.
