We propose a 70 ksec HETG observation of V603 Aql, which is the hard X-ray brightest example of the high accretion rate, non-magnetic cataclysmic variables. Its ASCA spectrum is dominated by Fe K and L features. We will resolve the Fe K region into three separate components, enabling us to estimate the shock temperature and the nature and the covering factor of the reflector. The data will also allow a simultaneous analysis of Fe K and L features in unprecedented details. We will also search for K lines of abundant elements from O to Ar, and constrain the emission measure distribution in the 0.5 to 10 keV range. Finally, we will search for absorption signatures of the accretion disk wind.
