We carried out N-band observations of the nearby debris disk star AU Microscopii (AU Mic, HD 197481, GJ 803) with T-ReCS at Gemini South. Our imaging reveals an unresolved core with a FWHM of 0.43 arcseconds and a low-level extension along the direction of the disk. The source is approximately 1.6 arcseconds across, corresponding to 15.9 AU at a distance of 9.94 pc. Preliminary radiative transfer modeling of the dust in the nearly edge-on system generates a SED that fits the observed photometry well and indicates the presence of small grains (~0.1 microns). The model yields a dust mass of 0.0084 earth masses.
