We discuss the possibility of detecting H.E. neutrinos from the galactic disc by recording the upgoing muons produced by νμ in the rock and crossing a large area detector. We use as normalization point the galactic gamma-ray flux observed by satellites at Eo 100 MeV and different values of the power law index of energy spectrum γ, compatible with experimental data and the models of cosmic ray propagation. With a detector area Aeff = 105 m2 a signal could be detected in case of values of γ 1.5.
