We discuss the possibility of detecting H.E. neutrinos from the galactic disc by recording the upgoing muons produced by νμ in the rock and crossing a large area detector. We use as normalization point the galactic gamma-ray flux observed by satellites at Eo  100 MeV and different values of the power law index of energy spectrum γ, compatible with experimental data and the models of cosmic ray propagation. With a detector area Aeff = 105 m2 a signal could be detected in case of values of γ  1.5.
