The size of the minor planet Hebe is determined from timed visual
observations of an occultation of a star. For an oblate planet the
equatorial diameter is found to be 195 plus or minus 6 km, with a
corresponding polar diameter of 170 km. With an assumed circular cross
section its diameter is found to be 186 plus or minus 9 km.
