A paper by H. Puthoff [Phys. Rev. A 39, 2333 (1989)], which claims to
derive Newtonian gravity from stochastic electrodynamics, contains a
serious computational error. When the calculation is corrected, the
resulting force is shown to be nongravitational and negligible.
