The possibility of existence of beam-plasma structures with different
velocities is considered in the frame of a gasdynamic model of type III
bursts. Taking into account the processes of plasma wave scattering by
plasma ions, we have obtained their maximum velocity (about 0.3 c) which
coincides with the mean velocity of type III bursts sources.
