We present preliminary results of the optical observations of BL Lacertae during the period from 1997 to 1999 carried out with ST-6 CCD Camera attached to the newtonian focus of the 70-cm meniscus telescope of the Abastumani Observatory. The frames were obtained in BVRI filters, which match the standart system well. The aim of these observations is to study long-term, intranight and microvariability of BL Lac. The intranight and microvariability were studied on the bases of more than hundred nights observations, while the long-term variability during 150 nights. On the bases these observations it were demonstrated that BL Lacertae shows the short time scale variability in R band within 0.071 (.007)-0.30 (.02) mag. The maximum amplitude in BVR bands are equal to 2.99, 2.67 and 2.52 respectively.
