Seventeen IUE spectra (nine from 1200 A to 2000 A and eight from 1900 A to 3200 A of the chemically peculiar star ET And (HR8861) were studied within the Tololo-Vienna interactive image processing system. While using the Fourier routines of this system, filtering, deconvolution of instrumental profiles and determination of the rotational velocity could be applied to the IUE spectra under investigation. A method which detects spectral line variations was developed.
