Interstellar extinction toward the Cas OB 6 association was analyzed. The mass ratio of graphite to silicates is larger than in the mean interstellar medium with values similar to those found in Cep OB 3. The effect cannot be ascribed to an homogeneous dust cloud in the association, but very likely is of a purely local (circumstellar) nature.
