Gravitational Deflection

The perturbation method of Poincaré and Lindstedt (1957) has been used to find the asymptotic expression of a massless particle under the Reissner-Nordström metric. From this analytical expression, the deflection angle of a massless particle is expressed as a rapidly convergent power series of a perturbation parameter, whose leading term is the well-known Einstein deflection angle. This power series was verified in two limiting cases in which the charge parameter or the Schwarzschild radius tends to zero.
