An optical interferometer which consists of sixteen 11 cm-telescopes on a MMT mount. The 16-telescope array is a linear array with 7.5 m baseline. The advantage of the large number of telescopes is the fact that many baselines are measured simultaneously. Therefore, 1-dimensional images can be obtained in the snapshot mode and 2-dimensional images can be obtained by using the earth rotation. The authors plan to interfere all beams in one central station to obtain speckle interferograms. They plan to use speckle masking for image reconstruction.
