We study how a false vacuum bubble can be nucleated within the true vacuum background via the true-to-false vacuum phase transition in curved spacetime. The mechanism is not known in curved spacetime with arbitrary vacuum energy in the pure Einstein theory of gravity. In this work we consider a semiclassical Euclidean bubble in the Einstein theory of gravity with a nonminimally coupled scalar field.
