This is a preliminary report on mass functions of several globular clusters, down nearly to the level of 0.1{cal M}_sun. We describe the nature and the treatment of the Hubble Space Telescope observations from which the MFs are derived. The results, which suggest that the lower-mass stars are an important but not dominant contributor to the total mass, depend very much on the mass--luminosity relations used in transforming the observed luminosity functions into mass functions.
