New photoelectric (UBVRI) observations of the massive early-type eclipsing binary V478 Cyg in the open cluster Dol 42 corona are obtained. The light-curve is found to be variable in all colors. The period of the system is improved. New photometric elements of V478 Cyg are determined by Lavrov's direct method. The absolute parameters of the system are estimated. Both components are on the main sequence. The distance to V478 Cvg is 1.04 kpc, the age is 10 exp 7 yr. The binary is a member of the association Cyg OB 1.
