Various aspects of situation analysis of spacecraft orbits as a tool for developing the strategy and tactics of realization of space experiments are considered. The multi-satellite and multipurpose INTERBALL project, devoted to current problems of solar-magnetospheric physics, is used as an example. Situation analysis is based on the use of modern models of planet magnetospheres and adequate models of spacecraft motion, allowing for major disturbing factors. The range of problems includes choice of orbits, simulation of the scenario of an experiment, planning coordinated scientific measurements, and some aspects of a posteriori presentation of results.
