An on-board photometer for measuring soft and hard X-rays (2 - 240 keV)
from solar flares with automatic inflight sensitivity calibration and a
special collimator to get the source image in soft X-rays is described.
The photometer is installed on board the INTERBALL-1 (Tail Probe)
spacecraft.
