efficient launch vehicle. One of the areas which will have bearing on the reliability and cost of launch vehicles is the architecture of both onboard and ground systems and the associated launch operations. This paper describes the technologies and practices that can be used to achieve the above objectives. The paper will cover the description of the onboard and ground technologies, including: By adopting these technologies for the launch preparation and operations, overall launch vehicle cost can be significantly reduced and reliability could be dramatically improved.
