The depletion of Li that is observed in main sequence stars is considered in terms of the turbulent flow caused by stellar rotation that produces the Li-depleting mixing process. The mechanism described by Zahn (1983, 1984, 1988) is considered in detail as the primary diffusive process, but the mass-dependence of the process is inconsistent with that of the Li abundance in galactic clusters. The case of the cluster Hyades is examined in which a condition similar to the Richardson-Townsend condition limits the validity of the Zahn mechanism. Other physical processes are considered to accommodate the time-dependencies of rotation and Li abundance including the depth of overshooting at the bottom of the convective zone and the mass-dependent parameter f. Three objections to the model by Swenson et al. (1990) are appended, and speculative physical processes of Li depletion are given including the relation between angular momentum and turbulent viscosity.
