Black Holes: Formation, Rotation: Elliptical Galaxies, Elliptical Galaxies: Black Holes

Scientific paper

As a theoretical concept of the general relativity, black hole has a clear definition, but as an astrophysical object, its clarity has some doubt. First, there has been no solid evidence for its existence, second, appropriate mechanisms are lacking to form from known objects. As a consequence of tidal interaction during its formation, every collapsed fragment will gain some angular momentum, so all the stars and galaxies are somehow rotating. Any black hole that has formed from these objects should also have angular momentum, and belong to Kerr black hole.
