We calculate the wave function of the universe using complex WKB trajectories in minisuperspace. The approach incorporates both the expanding and contracting modes in the ensemble of the universe. We show that CWKB trajectories successfully take the contribution of wormhole connected universes. We cite Coleman's argument to ascertain the behavior of the normalization of the wave function and find that Hawking-type wave functions as well as Vilenkin-type wave functions are obtained if we incorporate the respective boundary conditions corresponding to the proposals. We are led to a normalization which allows both types of wave functions as valid descriptions of the inflationary scenario and also admits a wormhole interpretation.
