We propose to observe the recently discovered pulsar wind nebula surrounding the magnetar 1E 1547.0-5408 with ATCA at 6/3 cm and 20 cm. With this we want to confirm the existence of this X-ray discovered source and obtain a detailed radio morphology and spectral index map of the nebula. This will help us to investigate whether the nebula was formed by episodic outbursts, or has a smooth profile, and whether the nebula is spherically symmetric. These observations will, therefore, cast a new light on the origin of the nebula. Moreover, if the nebula is a regular pulsar wind nebula, its properties will help to constrain the early spin evolution of magnetars, as the initial spin energy has been converted to the internal energy of the nebula.
